Coalition for Vaccination publishes statement on childhood vaccination

Healthcare experts emphasise the importance of routine vaccination to protect children from communicable diseases

The numbers are worrying: 25 million children missed out on lifesaving vaccines last year alone. This decline in childhood routine vaccination can partially be traced back to the hiccups in the system caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the war in Ukraine has brought an additional danger, with millions of children who fled from the area and whose vaccination schedule was disrupted by the events.

The Coalition for Vaccination emphasises once more the importance of vaccination against contagious diseases, it urges healthcare professionals to continue to fight for children's health and help families make informed decisions for their loved ones.
